Ambikapur, May 1, 2009: The Election Commission has suspended two polling officials of Sarguja district in Chhattisgarh, officials said today.
A programmer in the Ambikapur Treasury Vinod Kumar Singh was suspended by the District Election Officer Dr Rohit Yadav for dereliction of duty, officials said here today.
During suspension period Singh is attached to the District Treasury Ambikapur.
Similarly a Teacher S K Singh was given the election telephone duty but he remained absent from duty while handing over his charges illegally to a peon, because of which he was also suspended by the District Election Officer, they said.
The Teacher had been attached to Batouli Block Education Office.
