Jagdalpur, September 26, 2009: In a daring incident, the Maoists today shot at two sons of Bastar MP Baliram Kashyap, who have been rushed to the Maharani Hospital.
One of the sons of Baliram is PHE and Tribal Welfare Cabinet Minister in the Raman Singh Government.
Giving details of the incident, police said, after the Astami Puja when the entire Kashyap family were coming out of the temple in their village Bhanpuri, four youths came in cycles and opened fire.
Tansen Kashyap received bullet on head and was serious, where as Dinesh Kashyap had also received injuries in that incident and both have been admitted to Hospital in serious condition, police said.
Tansen is the Block Chairman, whereas Dinesh is the President of the Bastar District Cooperative Bank.
After Baliram and Kedar left the temple, the incident took place, they said adding the people, involved in the firing, had not been captured.
