Raipur, November 04, 2025: At least five people were killed and many injured, including three trapped as a passenger train hit a goods train from behind in Bilaspur division of the South Eastern Central Railway (SECR), a top official said.
“So far five people have been killed in the train accident,” Bilaspur District Collector Sanjay Agrawal told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
In the accident several have been injured, some of them seriously and are shifted to hospital, Agrawal said.
Three passengers are also being rescued, who are trapped in the passenger train, he said.
It is not possible to give the exact number of injured at this point as the entire force is engaged in rescue operation, said IG Bilaspur Sanjeev Shukla.
The accident occurred as the Memu train hit the Goods Train, he said.
