Raipur, November 03, 2025: The Indian Air Force’s renowned Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) will showcase its amazing aerial feats in the skies of Nava Raipur on November 5, marking the silver jubilee of the state of Chhattisgarh.
On November 5, the skies of Nava Raipur will be awash with pride, excitement, and patriotism. This “flight of valour” on Chhattisgarh’s silver jubilee will further elevate the sense of respect and pride for the Indian Air Force in every citizen’s heart.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said it is a proud moment for Chhattisgarh that the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force will be a part of our silver jubilee celebrations. This show will symbolize Chhattisgarh’s flight, confidence, and national pride.
“I urge the people of the state to witness this historic moment and salute the courage, precision, and dedication of our brave air warriors,” said the Chief Minister.

This aerobatic show, organized on the 25th anniversary of the state’s establishment, will symbolize Chhattisgarh’s new heights and self-confidence. When world-renowned formations like “Bomb Burst,” “Heart-in-the-Sky,” and “Arrowhead” take shape in the sky, the atmosphere will resonate with Indian valour and technical prowess. This event will further strengthen the spirit of discipline, teamwork, and national pride among the youth of Chhattisgarh.
With the joint efforts of the state government and the Indian Air Force, preparations for the event are in the final stages, officials said.
Thousands of citizens, students, and families from Raipur and surrounding districts will witness this aerobatic show. This will not only be an event, but will symbolize the “flight of a self-reliant India.” This performance by the Suryakiran team is a testament to the fact that when skill, dedication, and technique come together, even the sky bows down.
The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team, formed in 1996, is a unique example of the precision and collective coordination of the Indian Air Force. This is Asia’s only nine-aircraft aerobatic display team, with a separation of just five meters between aircraft. This is a remarkable example of India’s technical prowess, discipline, and courage.
The team began its journey with the HJT-16 Kiran Mk-II and in 2015, took flight with the indigenously developed HAL Hawk Mk-132 Advanced Jet Trainer. Today, the Suryakiran team has become a source of inspiration for youth.
To date, the Suryakiran team has given over 700 national and international performances—enhancing India’s prestige in many countries, including Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Thailand.
In 2023, the team presented a unique blend of sport and national pride with a spectacular performance during the Cricket World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
