Narayanpur, January 12, 2014: Security forces today captured alive nine Maoists from the dense forest of the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh.
″Security forces have able to capture nine Maoists from the forest,″ Narayanpur District Superintendent of Police Amit Tokaram Kamble told ChhattisgarhTopNews.
″All are part of the Guerrilla unit of the Maoist organisation,″ Kamble said.
During a search operation in Badenghol forest area the nine Maoists were captured after a brief encounter, he said
All the Maoists were captured from the Badenghol forest area of Narayanpur district, about 425 Km from the state capital.
Kamble attached significance to the capture of the nine Maoists claiming all are part of the Guerrilla squad, who were involved in recce on anti-Maoist security parties and planting of improvised explosive devices, commonly known as landmines on roads to check movement of security forces.
″Since cases have previously been registered against the Maoists, police is hopeful of getting vital information about the activities of the banned organisation from them,″ he said.
