Dantewada, April 6, 2010: In a daring attack the Maoists today killed at least 55 CRPF jawans in Tadmetla jungle of Dantewada district, Administration said.
At least 55 CRPF jawans and officers were today killed by Maoists in Tadmetla forest of Dantewada district, Dantewada District Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
The Maoists have also blown up an Anti-Landmine vehicle, which was rushing to the spot to rescue the injured security personnel, top police officials said.
Reports reaching here said 55 security personnel were killed by Maoists when it was on an operation in Chintalnar area of Dantewada district and the administration was waiting for more details.
. Initially two of the security forces were killed and when additional forces were trying to reach the spot to help the forces, they were also surrounded and attacked from all side in which about 55 other security forces were killed and five injured.
