Raipur, July 19, 2010: Duttatreya Upasane, prominent activist and father of India Today Executive Editor Jagdish Upasane passed away today at a local hospital here.
Duttatreya is also the father of senior BJP leader Sachhidanand Upasane.
Rajani Tai Upasane, wife of Duttatreya, was also an MLA of undivided Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, BJP State President Ram Sewak Paikra and others have expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Upasane.
