Raipur, April 08, 2015: Chhattisgarh has again failed to achieve its target of plantation.
The state had set the target of 7.58 crore plantation last year. However, it could achieve only 6 crore 95 lakh 76 thousands of the target, official sources said.
It was decided that the industrial houses would come forward to make the plantation drive a success, but they failed the state government.
This year also the state government decided to have a plantation of 8.02 crore, they added.
