Jagdalpur, June 20, 2025: At least one woman naxalite was killed today in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh in a joint operation of the BSF and DRG, police said.
On information of the presence of Maoists in the forests between Amatola and Kalpar under Police station Chhotebethiya a joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and District Reserve Guard (DRG) was sent to the area, police sources said.
During search operation Maoists and the joint police party had exchanged of fire and in the encounter one woman Maoist was killed.
“We have recovered the body of one woman naxalite,” the sources said.
Intermittent firing is continuing and search operation is going one in the woods, they added.
