Raipur, August 12, 2025: When Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai washed the feet of Swachhta Didis at Bahtarai Stadium in Bilaspur, they became emotional after receiving such honour. Thousands of people witnessed this emotional and inspiring moment.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao honoured the Swachhta Didis of urban local bodies, who performed excellently in Swachh Sarvekshan-2024-25 in a unique way.
The honoured Swachhta Didis expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Sao for this proud moment.
After honouring the Swachhta Didis, Chief Minister Sai said that Swachhta Didis and Swachhta Commandos are playing an important role in creating a clean and healthy environment.

Their work is not limited to cleanliness only, but it is a campaign of social change, in which their efforts are commendable, Sai said.
He said that this initiative will increase respect and awareness towards cleanliness work in the society.
Swachhata Didi Punita Bai of Vishrampur and Ranu Dewangan of Kumhari, who were honoured on the stage, said that cleanliness work is often looked down upon in society, but today this honour by the Chief Minister by washing our feet is a matter of pride for us.
This is the true reward for our hard work, dedication and commitment, they said.

With the support of public representatives and citizens, not only their works have been recognised, but the urban bodies have also received excellent positions in the survey, they said.
Pooja Rathore of Bilha and Vasu Raj of Dantewada said that they have been associated with this work for the last eight years, but today for the first time in their lives, such a proud moment has come.
