Raipur, January 23, 2026: A thought-provoking discussion session on “Digital Literature: A Challenge for Publishers” was held today at the Raipur Literature Festival 2026.
Under the theme “From the Beginning to Eternity” at the Anirudh Nirav Pavilion, this session, focused on the topic of “Digital Literature: A Challenge for Publishers,” featured a serious discussion on the changing nature, possibilities, and challenges of literary publishing in the digital age.
Speakers emphasised that by embracing digital mediums not as a challenge but as an opportunity, literary publishing can be further strengthened through innovation.
In the session, Prabhat Kumar, a representative from Prabhat Prakashan, Delhi, elaborated on the impact of digital mediums, stating that e-books, audiobooks, and online platforms have provided new opportunities to reach a wider readership.
He also highlighted that due to digital transformation, the traditional publishing model is facing new competition and structural challenges.
The session moderator, Dr. Sudhir Sharma of Vaibhav Prakashan, Raipur, furthered the discussion on important aspects such as digital technology, copyright protection, changing reader preferences, and maintaining literary quality.
