Jagdalpur, April 15, 2009: The Election Commission today suspended one of its sector officers for dereliction of duty in Kanker Lok Sabha constituency.
Assistant Engineer with the National Highway Pharasgaon office Aravind Dewangan was today suspended with immediate effect by the District Returning Officer Bastar for dereliction of duty, officials said here.
Dewangan was deployed as Sector officer for the Massukokoda sector of Kanker Parliamentary Constituency.
Both the Bastar and Kanker Lok Sabha seats are going to poll tomorrow from 7 AM to 3 PM where as in the rest of the nine seats of Chhattisgarh the polling would be from 8 AM to 4 PM.
