Raipur, May 16, 2026: On the occasion of ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival), Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, addressing a gathering today in Kusumura of Raigarh district, after gifting development works worth Rs 102.93 crore, stated that the state government is continuously moving forward with the resolve to build a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh,’ and the public itself is now experiencing this transformation and development firsthand.
The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a total of 24 development projects across various departments. These include the inauguration of 13 projects costing Rs 33.98 crore and the foundation-laying ceremony for 11 projects costing Rs 68.94 crore.
Sai remarked that his bond with Raigarh is deeply personal and spans many years, noting that the people here have always showered him with affection, treating him like a member of their own family.

He emphasized that ‘Sushasan Tihar’ is not merely an event; rather, it has evolved into a powerful medium for fostering trust, dialogue, and problem-resolution between the government and the public.
He further informed that through ‘Sushasan Tihar’—being observed from May 1 to June 10—the grievances of common citizens across the state are being resolved on a priority basis. He added that the special campaign launched to resolve revenue-related cases has brought relief to thousands of people.
The Chief Minister affirmed that the government is working tirelessly to bring about positive changes in the lives of farmers, women, the youth, and underprivileged families. In the state, paddy is being procured from farmers at a rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal, and outstanding bonuses amounting to Rs 3,716 crore have been disbursed to 1.3 million farmers.
The Chief Minister stated that through the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana,’ women are being economically empowered, and the government remains committed to extending the benefits of its schemes to the very last person in society, in the true spirit of ‘Antyodaya’ (upliftment of the last person).

Emphasising administrative transparency and digital governance as key priorities of the government, Sai announced that a ‘Chief Minister’s Helpline’ would be launched in the near future. This initiative will enable ordinary citizens to register their grievances from the comfort of their homes, ensuring that these issues are resolved within a stipulated timeframe.
Citing the ‘Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme’ and the ‘Electricity Bill Payment Resolution Scheme,’ he stated that the government is working with sensitivity and compassion to provide relief to needy families.
The Chief Minister also made several significant announcements in response to the demands of the local residents. He announced the completion of road construction projects connecting the villages of Supa, Ghughuwa, Putkapuri, Tarapur, Usraut, and Kashichuan. Additionally, he gave assurances regarding the initiation of necessary measures for the construction of a ‘Mahtari Sadan’ (Women’s Center) in Kusumura, the construction of a food storage warehouse under the Dhanagar Society, and the upgradation of the local Sub-Health Center.
The Chief Minister affirmed that the government is committed to completing development projects within set deadlines to ensure that the public reaps the benefits.
Referring to the construction of the Kusumura College building, being built at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore, he noted that this facility would provide students in the region with access to superior educational amenities.
Speaking at the event, Finance Minister O P Chaudhary remarked that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, a new era of good governance and development has dawned in the state.
He stated that the government is working tirelessly to bring prosperity and happiness into the lives of farmers, women, the youth, and underprivileged families.
Choudhary highlighted that immediately after the formation of the government, outstanding bonuses amounting to Rs 3,716 crore were disbursed to farmers; furthermore, paddy procurement is currently being ensured across the state at a rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal.
He further pointed out that schemes such as the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ (Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme), ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana,’ ‘Nari Shakti Loan Scheme,’ and ‘Bhumihin Mazdoor Sathi Yojana’ are providing direct benefits to the common citizens.
Lok Sabha MP Radheshyam Rathia observed that, under Chief Minister Sai’s leadership, the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the entire state, and the government is actively reaching out to the public to accelerate the pace of development activities.
Present on this occasion were Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, Mayor of Raigarh Municipal Corporation Jivardhan Chauhan, along with numerous public representatives, administrative officials, and a large gathering of local villagers.
