Speaker Dr Raman Singh expresses strong displeasure over Bemetara DM and SP

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh today expressed strong displeasure over the arrangements for the Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and stated the arrangement were not upto the dignity of the Chief Minister.

     Bemetara, May 31, 2026: Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh today expressed strong displeasure over the arrangements for the Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and stated the arrangement were not upto the dignity of the Chief Minister.

     “This programme is not upto the dignity of the Chief Minister,” thundered Dr Raman Singh expressing his strong feeling over the arrangement of the Bemetara District administration for the tour of the Chief Minister.

     “I want to tell the District Collector and the Superintendent of Police (Bemetara) this is not the way (to arrange such events). They welcomed the Chief Minister from the behind. Are they not aware of the proceduce to do that,” he said.

     The Chief Minister, two deputy chief ministers and ministers are present here and the Collector and the SP could not find a place for two and half hours. I was a Chief Minister for 15 years and I have never seen such bad arrangements,” Singh said in the presence of Chief Minister Sai, Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma and Union Minister Tokhan Sahu among others.

     The Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues and the Assembly Speaker were on tour of Bemetara to participate in the marriage of Bemetara BJP MLA Deepesh Sahu in a mass Marriage programme.
