Raipur, May 31, 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated a state-of-the-art IT Park, giving Durg district a major boost in the field of technological development, innovation, and employment.
Sai stated that this IT Park, located in Civil Lines, Durg, symbolizes the dreams, technological capabilities, and a new beginning for a self-reliant future for the youth of Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister stated that the state government aims to empower youth not just as job seekers but as leaders in an innovative and technology-driven economy. He stated that this IT Park, built in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai and the state government, will serve as an important platform for connecting youth with technical education, skill development, startup culture, and modern employment opportunities.
The Chief Minister informed that approximately 40 IT companies are currently operating here, and more than 100 have agreed to establish their presence in the future.
Sai said that the announcements made last year by the government have been realized today, which is a testament to the state government’s commitment, prompt implementation, and development-oriented approach.

He stated that Chhattisgarh will no longer be limited to a mineral- and agriculture-based economy, but will rapidly advance towards a digital economy, information technology, and innovation-driven development.
He stated that the Durg-Bhilai region has been a strong center of education, industry, and talent, and the establishment of the IT Park will transform the region into an emerging hub of technological innovation, digital services, and the startup ecosystem. This will provide local youth with employment and career opportunities in modern technological fields within their own region without migrating to larger cities.
School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav stated that under Chief Minister Sai’s leadership, technological infrastructure in the state is gaining new momentum. He explained that this project has been advanced through an MoU between IIT Bhilai and the Chhattisgarh government, and in the initial phase, 40 companies have agreed to establish operations here.

It is noteworthy that this modern IT park, developed on approximately 3,900 square meters of land, has a total built-up area of 2,907.26 square meters. The complex includes 40 large office rooms, five spacious halls, a mess, and other essential facilities. To ensure a safe and orderly environment, the entire complex is protected by a boundary wall. Under the MoU, 40 IT companies from across the country have begun their operations here. This project is considered a significant achievement in promoting employment generation, skill development, technological investment, and startup culture in the district.
