Raigarh, December 16, 2009: Taking complaints of irregularities seriously, Raigarh District Collector Munish Kumar Tyagi has asked for audit of all the panchayats of this Chhattisgarh district.
Audit has to be completed in all the panchayats before the process to start the election for the Panchayat Raj institutes of the district, officials said today.
The District Collector had asked all the Chief Executive Officers of the blocks to ensure that audits have to be completed well in advance before the start of the election process in those local bodies.
After the audit it would be ensured that the recovery, if any, would be made from the defaulter panchayat representatives before the start of the election in Panchayats, the officials said.
