Raipur, January 09, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai picked up Dr Basavaraju S. as his new Secretary.
Basavaraju is a 2007 batch direct recruit IAS.
A general Administration Department order said Basavaraju is appointed as the Secretary to the Chief Minister.
However, Basavaraju will have the charges of Secretary Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection, Secretary Urban Administration and Development as additional charges.
Earlier P Dayanand was appointed as the Secretary to the Chief Minister. Dayanand is a 2006 batch IAS.
Besides Dayanand and Basavaraju the CM Secretariat could get at least another senior IAS, official sources said.
