     Raipur, September 17, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today announced the launch of Annapurna Dal-Bhat Center in all the districts of the state and Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Sahayata Yojana to provide free education to the children of registered labour families.

     Through the Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Sahayata Yojana free education facility will be provided to the children of registered labour families in residential schools.

    In a programme organised at the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University campus here, CM Sai also congratulated and wished the workers on the occasion of on Vishwakarma Day.

     The Chief Minister also transferred Rs 49.43 crore to the accounts under various schemes to more than 57 thousand registered families through DBT.

     On this occasion, he released the coffee table book ‘Cradles of Hope’ prepared by the state Labour Department, in the presence of Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh and Labour Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan.

     Chief Minister Sai praised the Shramev Jayate App and Shramik Helpline Number launched by the Labour Department in the interest of workers.

     During the first term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he worked as the Minister of State for Labour at the Center for about three years, he said. That time the pension of the workers were very little. On the initiative of Modi, this amount was increased to one thousand rupees. Also, by creating Provident Fund, universal numbers were allotted to the workers. Through this universal number, workers get various benefits through this permanent number when they go to any place in the country.

     Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh said that the state government has given top priority to good governance and transparency in the implementation of schemes. Today, money has been sent to the workers through DBT under various schemes eliminating the middlemen.
