Jagdalpur, April 6, 2024: Amid stepped up Maoists violence, Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale today reviewed the arrangements for the Bastar Lok Sabha election with the top civil and police administration.

“Ensure safety of the poll parties both while going for voting and after election, their safe return with the EVMs to the strong rooms,” CEO Kangale told the senior officials here at the Bastar divisional headquarters.
The arrangements should be very effective and electioneering should be very smooth, she emphasised.
Kangale also stressed for better coordination among the civil, police and election officials for smooth conduct of the election.
Along with IG Om Prakash Pal and Bastar IG P Sunder Raj, Bastar Commissioner Shyam Dhawade, CRPF IG Saket Kumar Singh and officials from the districts of Bastar, Narayanpur, Sukma, Bijapur, Dantewada and Kondagaon had also participated in the meeting.
