Bilaspur, February 6, 2009: Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary P Joy Oommen today assured the state High Court of timely submit of reply from the government on various issues besides recruitment of nodal officers for dealing with the cases.
The Chief Secretary personally appeared before the court of Justice Satish Agnihotri and assured him of all assistance to the court for its speedy disposal of cases.
Earlier the High Court had taken strong objection that as many as 343 revenue cases were pending in the court for want of reply from the state government and directed the Chief Secretary to appear personally on that matter.
The Chief Secretary said with in one month the government would recruit nodal officers from various departments to deal with court cases, which was a major reason for delay in submit of reply and for that appropriate instruction had already been issued.
