Raipur, January 13, 2013: Chhattisgarh Government today directed all the urban local bodies to take effective steps in completing all construction and other developmental works.
During a review meeting of the urban local bodies, Department Minister Amar Agrawal expressed his displeasure over the lack of speed in construction and other developmental works.
All the Commissioners should immediately conduct review so that works could be completed in time and where that was not started by contractors and can not be completed with in the stipulated time frame, tenders of all those works should be cancelled and re-tendering should immediately be started, Agrawal said.
The state government had provided sufficient fund on the infrastructure development head and all such works should be completed with in the scheduled time, so that the citizen could get benefit of those works, he said.
The Minister also expressed his strong displeasure over the insufficient collection of revenue by the urban local bodies and directed the officials to take effective steps in that direction.
Agrawal also called for monitoring of all works and directed the officials to constitute a separate cell for the disposal of applications received during the Nagar Suraj Abhiyan.
