Raipur, November 28, 2008: A week-long state mourning was declared by the Chhattisgarh government in respect of former Prime Minister Vishwanath Pratap Singh, who died yesterday in New Delhi after protracted illness.
A state General Administration Department order said the week long state mourning was in force from October 27 to December 3 in respect of the former Prime Minister.
However, the GAD order was made public a day after it was issued yesterday.
During this period of mourning the national flag would be half mast and also during that period no entertainment programme would be organized by the state government, it said.
