Raipur, June 15, 2023: In a major decision, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today directed the officials to launch a comprehensive nasha mukti or de-addiction campaign in the state.
For Nasha Mukti a comprehensive public awareness campaign should be started in the state, Baghel said.
Within a month a comprehensive strategy with a roadmap be prepared, the Chief Minister directed the Social Welfare Department of the state.
Government has been taking steps to curb the influence of drugs of various forms but without active participation of the people and an awareness campaign complete success would not be achieved, the Chief Minister said.
While drafting the strategy eminent people and NGOs working towards de-addiction be consulted, he said.
Active support of the social and religious people and organisations be also included in the campaign, Baghel said.
The focus point should also be schools and colleges like educational institutions and seminars be organised to create awareness among the youth, he said.
