Raipur, November 29, 2015: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today denied taping telephones in the state.
“Neither the state Government taped the phones of any political personality nor it will do so in the future,” said Chief Minister Singh.
On November 27, levelling sensational allegation, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Bhupesh Baghel alleged that the state BJP government was involved in taping of phones of political persons.
“Forget about the big leaders, phones of even small workers are being tapes by the state government,” Baghel had claimed.
“Some equipments were purchased to intercept the phones of Maoists and to ascertain their locations but that equipments are being used against the political opponents,” the PCC President had said.
He also accused the Chhattisgarh Police of diverted from their original duties and involved politically in assisting the government.
