     Raipur, December 29, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today distributed portfolios to his cabinet ministers, while retaining General Administration, Mines, Energy, Public Relations, Excise, Transport and other departments, which are not allotted to his ministers.

     On December 13 last Vishnu Dev Sai took oath as Chief Minister whereas Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma were administered oath as Deputy Chief Ministers in the BJP government. On December 22, last 9 Ministers took oath and the gazette notification was published today about the portfolios distributions.

     As per the notification, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao is given Public Works Department (PWD), Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Law and Urban Administration Departments.

     Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma is holding Home, Jail, Panchayat and Rural Development, Technical Education and Employment, Science and Technology.

     Senior Minister Brij Mohan Agrawal is allotted School Education, Higher Education, Parliamentary Works, Endowment, Tourism and Culture.

     Ram Vichar Netam is now the Minister for Tribal, SC, OBC and Minority Development, Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Departments.

     Dayal Das Baghel is made Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Departments.

     Kedar Kashyap is allotted Forest, Irrigation, Skill Development and Cooperation Departments.

     Lakhanlal Dewangan is given Commerce and Industry and Labour Departments.

     Shyam Bihari Jaiswal is made Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education and 20-point programme implementation Minister.

     OP Choudhary is the new cabinet Minister for Finance, Commercial Tax, Planning and Statistics, Housing and Environment,

    Lakshmi Rajwade is made the Minister for Women and Child Welfare and Social Welfare.

    Tank Ram Verma has been given the portfolios of Sports and Youth Welfare, Revenue and Disaster Management Departments, the notification said.
