Korba, May 10, 2010: Rescue team have recovered two bodies of a previous rescue team, which went inside the Anjan hill underground coal mine of the South Eastern Coalfield Limited on May 6 last after a blast took place, authority said today.
The Rescue team has recovered the bodies of Ravindra Saha about 300 metre inside the underground coal mine and on about 350 metre the body of Dil Bahadur was recovered yesterday, SECL officials said today.
However, there was no trace of the rest four people of the first rescue team, which went inside the mine after the blast took place on May 6, last, they said.
Senior officers have stationed at Chirmiri to supervise and monitor the rescue operation, Chairman cum Managing Director of SECL M P Dikshit said.
With that the total numbers of death have gone up to eight where as four are missing and 32 injured in the incident.
