Raipur, October 06, 2026: Travel to the national capital, Delhi, will now be more convenient for rail passengers in the Sarguja division of Chhattisgarh.
The frequency of the express train service operating between Ambikapur and Hazrat Nizamuddin has been increased from once a week to twice a week, official sources said.
Operated by the Bilaspur Division of South East Central Railway, Train No. 22407 Ambikapur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express will now depart from Ambikapur at 7:30 AM every Tuesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, Train No. 22408 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Ambikapur Express will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 11:00 PM every Sunday and Tuesday, they said.
The increased frequency of the train will provide significant convenience to passengers traveling to Delhi for purposes such as education, healthcare, employment, business, and other essential activities.
Sarguja MP Chintamani Maharaj flagged off the second weekly train from Ambikapur Railway Station at 7:30 AM on Today.
He met the passengers on board, presented them with flowers, and wished them a pleasant and safe journey. Passengers also showed enthusiasm regarding the launch of the additional rail service.
