Raipur, October 05, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today said that life is incomplete without education.
Education is not just a means to obtain a job, but a path to a successful life. Education is the key to social development. Whether it’s the art of living, business, agriculture, or any other field, education plays a vital role in success in every field, Chief Minister Sai, while addressing the National Fishermen Awareness Conference held at the Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur, said.
He said his government has been continuously working in the field of education in the state since its inception.

Sai said that while there was only one medical college at the time of the state’s formation in 2000, today there are 15 medical colleges in the state. Similarly, they have established national and international level educational institutions such as IIT, IIIT, IIM, Law University, AIIMS, and CIPET in Chhattisgarh, which are benefiting local students.
Sai said that the construction of Nalanda campuses is underway in every district of the state, providing both direction and opportunities to the youth.
The Chief Minister said that today society needs to be organized, because only an organized society can strengthen the nation.

He said that drug addiction hinders social development and it is essential to stay away from this evil. The Chief Minister appealed to the society to pledge to be drug-free.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India launched the Matsya Sampada Yojana, which has proven to be a revolutionary step in raising the living standards of fishermen.
In this regard, the Chhattisgarh government recently abolished the Gangrel Dam contract system and again granted permission to farmers in the submerged areas to practice fish farming.
The Chief Minister said that his government is continuously striving to integrate the fishing community into the mainstream of development.

Several schemes have been launched in the field of fisheries. The state’s first aqua park is being constructed at the Hasdeo Bango Reservoir at a cost of approximately ₹37 crore. This aqua park will create new opportunities in all four sectors: fish production, processing, export, and tourism, he said.
The Chief Minister informed that fish farming is currently being carried out in 800 cages, benefiting several panchayats. He said this is a major step towards increasing the income of the fishermen and strengthening the rural economy.
Sai extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the officials of the National Fishermen’s Association and the hardworking fishermen from across the country for the successful organization of the national conference.
Union Minister of State Dr. Rajbhushan Chaudhary Nishad said that the Nishad community has a glorious history and tradition. It is important to inform and teach the new generation about such history and traditions.

He said that Prime Minister Modi has always given the Nishad community a leading position.
Nishad explained that when the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram Lalla was constructed in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Modi gave the community due respect by constructing the Nishad Raj Temple on the banks of the Saryu River opposite it. The Nishad community will forever be indebted to him for this.
Deputy Chief Minister-Home Vijay Sharma, addressing the programme, said that the Nishad community is a very hardworking and diligent community. He added that the Nishad community’s contribution to the progress of society is exemplary.
On this occasion, MLA Sunil Soni, Chhattisgarh Fishermen Welfare Board Chairman Bharat Matiara, along with a large number of community officials and public representatives from the state and other states were present.
