Raipur, August 18, 2010: The sleuth from Economic Offence Wing of Chhattisgarh Government today raided the residence and other premises of an Assistant Engineer with the Irrigation Department J S Chandel and allegedly unearthed crore of rupees of properties.
Raids are conducted simultaneously in four of his houses in one city of the state, EOW Superintendent D D Chaturvedi said.
The Bureau claimed to have recovered at least three crore rupees worth of landed properties, vehicles and other valuables during the raid, he said.
Chandel joined service in 1979 and currently posted in the Irrigation Division No 1 at Ambikapur.
