Gadkari ignores Chhattisgarh

     Raipur, March 16, 2010: BJP National President Nitin Gadkari today declared his office bearers but Chhattisgarh had not been given due weightage in that national body.

     When former MP Karuna Shukla has been retained as the Vice President, Durg MP Saroj Pandey is once again made Secretary, the post she was holding as the Mayor of Durg Municipal Corporation.

     Soudan Singh, a former state party General Secretary, is once again ,made Joint Secretary (Organisation) at New Delhi.

     The state party in charge and Secretary Dharmendra Pradhan is given due importance and made national General Secretary. Pradhan is a former MP from Orissa.

     Many party insiders expressed their disappointment over the new body saying it was old wine in new bottle at least in case of Chhattisgarh.

     Earlier Raipur BJP MP Ramesh Bais was made Chief Whip of the party, when many people of his camp were expecting him to become the Deputy Opposition Leader looking into his seniority.

     Similarly Dilip Singh Judeo is also under utilized within the party, party leaders said.
