Raipur, September 12, 2025: A meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted to take decisions related to policy formulation of paddy procurement and custom milling was held today to discuss in details about paddy procurement in Chhattisgarh for this Kharif season.
In the meeting, instructions were given to ensure proper and transparent arrangements for the purchase of paddy from registered farmers in the upcoming Kharif marketing year 2025-26 at the support price announced by the Government of India.
Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Finance Minister O P Choudhary and Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma were present in the meeting, which was chaired by Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel.

In the Kharif year 2025-26, registration of farmers will be done in Agristack portal as well as Integrated Farmers Portal. Instructions were also given to do extensive publicity to complete the work of farmer registration within the stipulated time frame.
It was also directed in the meeting that necessary arrangements should be made so that farmers get timely payment for the paddy sold by them at the support price.
Information was given to ensure timely arrangements of new and old jute bags required for paddy procurement. Instructions were given to make effective arrangements to stop recycling of paddy and to form special investigation teams to prevent illegal paddy in border areas. Similarly, emphasis was also laid on making necessary preparations for milling of procured paddy.

On this occasion, Secretary Food Reena Baba Saheb Kangale, Secretary Finance Mukesh Bansal, Secretary Commerce and Industry Rajat Kumar, Managing Director Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Federation (MARKFED) Kiran Kaushal, Joint Secretary Agriculture Department Rahul Dev and Managing Director Apex Bank K. N. Kande were present in the meeting.
