Raipur, January 12, 2010: Hardly two months ahead of the main Budget, Chhattisgarh Assembly today passed the second supplementary budget after discussion.
Taking opportunity of the debate, many of the Opposition members preferred to raise issues, which have made the treasury benches uncomfortable.
However, ruling BJP leaders dismissed the stand of the opposition and said the Raman Government was doing excellent job in the state.
Ravi Shankar Tripathy, T S Singh Deo, Bhima Mandavi, Dharamjeet Singh, Dr Krishna Murti Bandhi, Dr Sakrajeet Nayak, Kawashi Lakhma, Deepak Kumar Patel, Sourav Singh, Agni Chandrakar, Dayaldas Baghel, Virendra Kumar Sahu participated in the discussion on the Supplementary budget.
After the House discussed the matter and reply by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, who also holds the Finance portfolio, the Assembly today passed the supplementary budget of Rs 1339.51 Crore.
