Raipur, August 08, 2024: In random checking, the Chhattisgarh Administration has found irregularities in five districts to the tune of over Rs one crore in registration of land and other immovable properties.
The Vigilance Cell of the IG Registration has found at least 18 cases of irregularities of registration in 5 districts, official sources said.
The IG Registration had in a random checking in Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Raigarh and Bemetara district registration office found 18 cases of revenue loss to the state exchequer to the tune of over one crore rupees.
Action like show cause notice and recovery of money from the said District Registrars of the 5 districts have been initiated, the sources said.
Currently Chhattisgarh has 102 registration offices and in the last fiscal ending March 31, 2024 the Department had earned a revenue of Rs 2505.98 crore.
