     Dantewada, August 28, 2010: The Magistrate probe was started today to ascertain the causes, responsible for the killing of 76 policemen in the hand of Maoists on April 6, at Tadmetla, Chintalnar area of Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

     Sub Divisional Magistrate Konta has sought information, evidences from people on or before September 3 on the April 6 incident in which 75 CRPF personnel of the 62nd Battalion and one police man from the District Force were killed in an encounter at Tadmetla, Chintalnar area under the Chintagupha police station of Dantewada district.

     In that incident seven CRPF personnel were also injured, official sources said here today.

     Similarly the SDM Konta, with having the headquarters at Sukma, has sought evidences on the incident of May 19, 2010 in which a group of Maoists had attacked the Sukma police station to snatch away their comrade Midium Bandi from the police station.

          The exchange of fire continued for half an hour after which the body of Bandi was recovered from the nearby jungle during a search conducted by the security forces, the officials said.

         Anyone having any knowledge, information or evidences of both the incidents can submit that before the Magistrate orally or in writing or by post on or before September 3, between 11.00 AM to 5.00 PM, the officials said.
