Raipur, November 16, 2022: Savitri Mandavi has been made the candidate of Congress for the Bhanupratappur by-election, whereas Brahmanand Netam is made the BJP candidate.
Savitri, widow of Manoj Singh Mandavi has been declared candidate for the December 5 Bhanupratappur by-election, Chhattisgarh PCC sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com today.
Following the death of three-time Congress MLA Manoj Mandavi the by-election to Bhanupratappur assembly segment was necessitated.
Meanwhile, BJP has fielded former MLA Brahmanand Netam as their candidate to face the sympathy wave, which was seems favouring Savitri Mandavi.
Manoj Mandavi was Deputy Speaker of Chhattisgarh Assembly and died on October 16 last after a massive cardiac arrest.
