Raipur, November 15, 2022: Congress party today appointed Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as the star campaigner for the Gujarat Assembly election.
Welcoming the decision, state Congress said now Chhattisgarh Model would also be echoed in Gujarat.
The PCC Communication Department Chairman Sushil Anand Shukla also targeted the BJP and said looking into the bad track record of the 15-year tenure of the Raman Singh government, Chhattisgarh leaders are kept away from campaigning in other states by the BJP central leadership.
On the other hand, Congress central leadership have immense faith on Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, because of which he had been given responsibilities in every election, Shukla said.
Baghel had been made senior observer for assembly elections to Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, and now made Star Campaigner for Gujarat poll, whereas Dr Raman Singh and other BJP leaders from Chhattisgarh had not been entrusted any responsibilities in any state elections, the senior Congress leader said.
Despite being the National Vice President, the BJP never wanted to utilise the service of Dr Raman Singh in any of the elections, he said.
