     Dantewada, Raipur, May 13, 2012: Maoist guerrillas tonight attacked a police party and shot dead six of them and a civilian in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

     “Six personnel of the Central Industrial Central Force and a civilian driver were killed in the indiscriminate firing by the Maoists,” Chief of Anti-Maoist operation in Chhattisgarh Ram Niwas told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com at Raipur.

       The incident took place at Kirandul town in Dantewada district.

      When the security forces were proceeding towards their post in Kirandul in a four wheeler at about 9.00 PM, a large number of Maoists attacked them and opened indiscriminate firing, Ram Niwas and other police officers said.

      The forces also returned fire and in that incident all the six security personnel and the civilian driver were killed, they said.

     The Maoists have also decamped with six sophisticated weapons, including five AK-47 rifles of the Central forces, they added.
