     Raipur, September 12, 2016: In a fresh bid Chhattisgarh today attracted investment proposal of Rs 3401 crore for which memorandum of understanding were signed here.

      For setting of cement, power, solar energy, coal washery, engineering and electronic units five MoU were signed today in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh at CM house.

     A total of 2398 people would get employment through the Rs 3401 crore investments.

     In the fiscal 2015-16 MoU were signed for Rs 54000 crore investments in the focus sector and works have already been started for many projects, Chief Minister said.

     Singh also called for investment in non-core sector like engineering, electronics and solar in the state.

     The companies, with whom MoU were signed today were Nicco Industries Pvt Ltd, Lanco Solar Energy, Ranju Infracom Pvt Ltd, R R Ispat (a subsidiary of Godavari Power and Ispat) and Oshin Electronics Pvt Ltd and on behalf of the state government Industry Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh signed the MoU.
