Raipur, September 18, 2016: Nagarnar Steel Plant of the National Mineral Development Corporation is expected to start by December 2017, official sources said today.
“It is expected that the Nagarnar steel plant will be ready by 2017 December,” official sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
The work was going in a very slow progress for the NMDC plant, located in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh.
The project faced difficulties in every stage as after a violent dispute over land acquisition and the technology in which it was supposed to be started was found running into rough weather.
Meanwhile, Union Steel Secretary Dr Aruna Sharma has asked the local officials to speed up the work.
The Union Secretary also asked the Bastar district administration to impart training to the project affected people, who would be given employment, so that they can be absorbed in the plant once it starts production.
