Raipur, October 1, 2009: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today took seriously the allegation of missing of large numbers of genuine names from the list of BPL families in Bhatapara municipal area.
The Chief Minister took the matter seriously as genuine names have to be there in the list of BPL families and he had directed the principal Secretary Food Vivek Dhand to look into that, officials said.
A delegation of poor today met the Chief Minister at his residence and said their names have been deleted from the website of the Food Department, because of which they could not collect their ration commodities for the month of September 2009.
When the poor families try to talk to the local officials, they not only failed to help the poor but also unable to provide any reason, why the names have been deleted, people complaints.
Taking the matter seriously Singh asked Dhand to send the Food Inspectors to camp at Bhatapara and check each and every case seriously.
The Chief Minister also said every possible step would be taken to include the name of genuine poor in the list BPL list.
