Ambikapur, November 19, 2008: A day ahead of the assembly election, Maoists targetted a police vehicle in Balrampur district and ambushed it to blown up, police said.
However, in that blast, took place in Ramchandrapur area of Balrampur district, no policemen were injured, police sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here.
When a team of Special Task Force (STF) were on area dominance operation, the Maoists ambushed them and blown up their vehicle and badly damaged that, they said.
Although no policemen were injured in that blast, but a couple of policemen had received minor injuries when the vehicle was turned turtle, they said.
Ramchandrapur was the same area, where the then Sarguja Inspector General of Police B S Maravi was ambushed and seriously injured by the naxalites on November 10, last.
