Kondagaon/Jagdalpur, January 24, 2012: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today launched a new scheme to address mal-nutrition in the state.
Nawa Jatan, a nutrition campaign was launched by the Chief Minister while formally inaugurating Kondagaon as a new district today.
Singh expressed the hope that the new campaign would address the issue of mal-nutrition and help in arresting child death rate in the state.
Mal-nutrition is one of the major problem of Chhattisgarh and the state plans to bring that to 30 per cent with in the next three years.
The new scheme would involve community participation in eradicating mal-nutrition, officials said.
