Raipur, October 09, 2022: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today directed the Collectors not to give irrigation water for summer paddy.

In the Collectors Conference, the Chief Minister said, for the summer paddy the farmers should not be given water for irrigation. So that during July crop season the reservoir would have sufficient water, he added.

He also urged the officials to motivate the farmers to work on cluster cultivation of organic farming instead of on patches for a better result.

The dependency on chemical manure should be reduced and the farmer should be encourage to go for organic farming, Baghel said adding even farmers should be encouraged to use vermi compost for crops other than paddy.
