Raipur, December 14, 2025: BJP Chhattisgarh in-charge and a five term consecutive MLA Nitin Nabin was today appointed as the BJP National Working President.

But the party’s announcement of Chhattisgarh BJP incharge and Bihar Cabinet Minister for PWD as the Working President left everyone surprised, again, as the BJP has been known for naming dark horses for key positions.

Political Pundits believe Nabin will succeed Nadda as a full-time president of the party and one of the youngest to hold this post.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself showered effusive praise on Nabin’s appointment as national working president, saying he has distinguished himself as a hardworking Karyakarta.

Nadda was appointed BJP President in January 2020 and has already completed his full term. He was granted extensions to lead the party through the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

“I am fully confident that under the guidance of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and your leadership, the organization will achieve new heights in its service to the nation and its people. I wish you a successful and fruitful tenure,” he said.

Home Minister and former party president Amit Shah said Nabin possesses extensive experience of working among the people and his elevation is an honour for every young BJP worker who toils day and night.

“Whether as the National General Secretary of the BJP Yuva Morcha, the State President of the Yuva Morcha in Bihar, or the State In-charge of Chhattisgarh, he has fulfilled every responsibility within the organization with complete dedication and success. Having served as a five-time MLA in Bihar and as a minister in the state government, he possesses extensive experience working among the people,” the Home Minister said.
