     Jagdalpur, September 23, 2011: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today said the State Police was probing the alleged incident of corporate house ESSAR funding Maoists in the state and said there was no need for a CBI probe into the incident.

     Since the state police has got some vital clues while probing the incident, there was no need for a CBI probe, the Chief Minister said here addressing a press conference.

     Several journalists today raised the scandal involving ESSAR funding to Maoists in Dantewada, where it was involved in sourcing iron ore to its Visakhapatnam steel plant through pipeline.

     However, the Chief Minister said his Government would not spare any one, who are involved in funding the banned outfit CPI Maoist.

     “Any one involved in wrong doing will be dealt sternly,” Singh said.

     The Chief Minister was here to participate in the Bastar Development Authority.
