Notification issued for Bastar LS Election

     Raipur, March 15, 2014: The Election Commission today issued notification for the Maoist-hit Bastar Lok Sabha seat, which will go to poll on April 10, 2014.

     With the notification issued for the Bastar seat the nomination process was also started today for the tribal researved seat.

      Last date of filing nominations is March 22 and the papers will be scrutinized on March 24, 2014.

     Last date of withdrawal of candidature is March 26, 2014 and election will be held in Bastar seat on April 10, 2014.

     Counting of votes will take place on May 16, 2014, the Election Commission said.
