Bilaspur/Raipur, June 19, 2011: Chhattisgarh government today cancelled the pre-medical entrance examination after police taken in to its custody 72 boys and girls, who were allegedly trying to solve the question papers of state government outside their examination halls.
Bilaspur District Superintendent of Police Ajay Yadav told a press conference today that the police has taken into its custody 72 boys and girls, who were trying to resolve the PMT question papers yesterday night at a Dharamsala in Takhatpur town of Bilaspur district.
However, two persons have escaped from the scene, he said adding among the arrest were students from the Raipur Dental College, where as some are from the neighbouring Jharkhand and Bihar.
Police has also seized some bank drafts and hard cash from their possession.
The incident has shook the state government as it was for the second time the question paper for this year PMT was leaked.
Taking prompt action, the state government cancelled the PMT examination and said a fresh date for the entrance test would be announced soon.
