Raipur, February 01, 2012: Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi would visit Raipur on February 8 to discuss various issues with the Chhattisgarh government, officials said today.
During his visit, the Union Minister would meet Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and discuss various issues pertaining to the state, officials said.
Highly places sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here that the Chief Minister would most likely demand among other things increase in frequency of trains between his native Rajnandgaon and Raipur.
Looking in to the heavy vehicular traffic on the road between Rajnandgaon and Raipur, the Chief Minister wanted pressing of more trains to ease traffic on roads, the officials said.
All the Members of parliament of the state, heads of NTPC, NMDC, SAIL, SECL and other public sector organisations would be invited to the meeting with Trivedi, officials said.
The state government would also take up the problem of Bastar and may demand better train services between Jagdalpur and Kirandul and also connectivity between Bastar and Raipur, among other places.
