Raipur, April 20, 2010: Chhattisgarh Government today extended the duration of the Gram Suraj Abhiyan for one more day.
As per the official order, Gram Suraj Abhiyan would now be continued up to April 24, instead of April 23.
After Members of Parliament, MLAs and Panchayat Representatives urged the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh to increase the time of the Abhiyan it was extended by one more day, officials said today.
The Gram Suraj Abhiyan was started from April 12 to 16 in the first phase and from April 19 to 23 for the second phase but now the second phase of Abhiyan would continue up to April 24, officials said.
Starting from the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and the Chief Secretary P Joy Oommen to the village patwari, the lowest rank revenue official at the grass root level are visiting the villages during the Gram Suraj Abhiyan to take stock of the development and the feedback would decide the future course of action on planning and execution levels.
