Raipur, July 16, 2010: Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt and Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh would lay the foundation stone tomorrow for the Rs 156.23 Crore ambitious water supply scheme for the new capital project.
This ambitious water project would help in meeting the demand of water for the new Administrative buildings and the residence of the Naya Raipur, officals said.
Under this scheme, water would be brought from the life line of Chhattisgarh, the river Mahanadi, they said.
Both the Governor Dutt and Chief Minister Singh would lay the foundation stone for the water supply scheme and also launch the Hariyar Chhattisgarh, a mass plantation programme in the state from the new capital project area.
In the Hariyar Chhattisgarh scheme, the Government wants to plant about one lakh saplings in the new capital project area, the officials said.
